I take it back!

So for the past, oh I don't know, year, I've been anticipating fall. I haven't had a fall season since 2005, and I thought I was soooo ready. However, I take it back! Today was in the low 70's with some rain, and I tell you what - I was fur-eeze-ing! Course some of that had to do with the arctic zone air conditioner in my classroom! What am I going to do when it actually gets cold? Maybe it won't be so bad when I have heat inside!

Speaking of my classroom, my kids are slowing getting into a routine - they even say the cute stuff here in America. Which of course, I can't help posting - which is a good note to end on!

"We went to the Chinese restaurant to eat and they sang "Happy Birthday" in Spanish!"

Maybe you don't find this funny, but the way it was said to me was hysterical! Happy Wednesday!

Remembering . . .

Today's 9/11 and when I was pondering all that happened this morning before school, I realized that most of the kids in my class weren't even born. That really made me stop and think - this will always be history to them. Not something that happened in their lifetime. Makes me feel old! Of course with children this age, you don't really mention this kind of thing in class, but a few of my kids knew about it. Or at least they knew what they had been told - which was today was a day to be patriotic and celebrate America. So in the words of my kids, Happy Red, White, and Blue Day! :o)

A new beginning . . .

It seems strange that here I am starting a new blog. A second blog. Who'd of thought that I would have two blogs? Not me. Anyway, welcome! Hope you enjoy (and make sense) all of my ramblings!
